Our timber retrofit system upgrades your existing timber frames with high-performance double glazing, maintaining the character of your home while improving energy efficiency.
Timber Retrofit
Retain Character
One of the biggest advantages of retrofitting double glazing into timber windows is the ability to retain the original character of your home.
Existing features such as colonial bars, sash profiles, and traditional detailing can be preserved, while original double-hung sashes and weight systems are kept fully operational. The result is a warmer, more comfortable home that still looks and functions exactly as it was designed, maintaining the integrity and charm of New Zealand’s timber-built houses.

Timber is a natural insulator.
Timber naturally insulates better than aluminium, helping reduce heat loss and improve comfort.

On-site installation, minimal disruption
Our team completes all timber retrofit glazing on site, so your windows are never taken away. This keeps your home secure at all times while allowing us to work efficiently and carefully. We take pride in leaving your home clean, tidy, and ready to enjoy.
Precision retrofit, done properly
Our retrofit process combines skilled workmanship with world-class glazing systems. Single glass is carefully removed, the timber rebate is prepared and protected, and a floating double-glazed unit is installed to allow proper airflow and longevity. The result is a precise, reliable upgrade that performs as well as it looks.

Effective draught sealing
To further improve comfort and performance, we install high-quality draught seals to opening timber windows. These seals are fitted discreetly to the inside of the window and feature a permanent C-wedge that compresses as the window closes, reducing unwanted air movement. Available in painted or timber-finish options, draught sealing helps eliminate cold draughts while maintaining smooth window operation.
Suitable for a wide range of timber windows.
Our timber retrofit system can be applied to many different window styles, including leadlight windows, double-hung sash windows, arched windows, and direct-glazed timber frames. Each window is assessed individually to ensure the retrofit solution suits both the construction of the window and the character of the home.

High-Performance Double Glazing
Our double-glazed units are manufactured using world-class components and industry-leading global technology. Each unit features a thermally improved warm-edge spacer that bonds the glass panes together, helping retain argon gas for long-term performance. Combined with argon-filled units and high-performance Low-E glass, this system delivers excellent thermal efficiency and comfort.
