Twenty-four Low-E double-glazed units were installed throughout the home, incorporating acoustic laminated glass to enhance both thermal and sound performance. The combination of Low-E coatings, insulated cavities, and acoustic laminate significantly improves heat retention, helping maintain stable indoor temperatures year-round.

The colonial character of the home was carefully preserved throughout the retrofit. Existing colonial bar layouts were retained and matched within the new double-glazed units, while double-hung sash windows were retrofitted and reweighted to maintain their traditional operation. The result is improved performance without compromising architectural integrity.
Acoustic laminated Low-E glass was selected to reduce external noise intrusion. The specialised interlayer within the laminate absorbs and dampens sound vibrations, creating a noticeably quieter interior environment while maintaining clarity and natural light.
